![]() ![]() ![]() so no, just because one might move up to a hybrid from a popup that doesn't mean that any beds that run laterally across the width of the trailer will necessarily be any longer than those in a popup. I'm only 5' 10" and I sure wouldn't have wanted a bed any shorter than this. Our 2007 TrailCruiser C21RBH was a full 8' wide yet the front queen bed was significantly shorter, as I recall about 78". far from it actually since the body of the tenting, and therefore the bed platform, is usually significantly narrower than the width of the trailer body itself. Just because a hybrid body width may measure anywhere from 7' 3" up to a full 8' wide doesn't mean the hybrid beds themselves will be that long. Most HTT's are 8' wide, with a few 7'6" models out there. My Bayside is 7'5" and that extra 4" makes a big difference. Keep in mind that at 7'1" his Coachman is narrower than some of the other pups out there and significantly narrower than most hybrids making the beds shorter. I just made a mistake in buying a camper I didn't lay down in before buying it!!! The back bumper and tounge have slots for the support poles, so my question is.is it just a terrible idea to want to remove the cables on the inside of the pup and add support poles beneath the beds? Where do I order these parts? If installing the bed support poles, how would I know where to drill the parts on the plywood where the poles would fit? Any suggestions are appreciated, and if you think it's a bad idea, that's fine too! Other than these cables, I absolutely love my Clipper. I am 6'2" and my head often hits the cable as well as my feet. Although the Glide-N-Lock system is quick and easy, I DO NOT like the cables at my head and feet while I sleep. ![]() For those of you not familiar, it is a bed support system in which the beds are supported by cables inside the pup and aren't supported by bed support poles under the bed. I own a 2011 Coachmen Clipper Sport 109 with the Glide-N-Lock bed system. ![]()
