![]() ![]() The rear taillight housing gaskets leaked this past winter while being driven back to TX. I tried to photograph it - see right side passenger door photos - center door, below the center body line. ![]() There is a very slight indentation on the exterior passenger door. ![]() Drivers side door panel has a small tear at the arm rest, which is covered with red plastic tape (see photos). The door panels and front seats show normal wear for a 51 year old automobile. Has code correct spare tire and the original jack / lug wrench from 1966 is still mounted in the trunk. All windows in the car work smoothly, except passenger side wing window. The primary sound system is a Kenwood Bluetooth / Aux / etc./ remote controlled stereo, which is installed under the drivers seat. The original radio is in place and works. All exterior and interior lights, as well as all gauges, speedometer, vents, heat / defrost / fan controls, rear vent, and dash clock (sometimes), work. There are no cooling system leaks and she runs at normal temps in City and on Hwy. I also installed a new water pump, thermostat and radiator hoses. The original expansion tank is in place and does not leak. The Original radiator has been replaced with a new high flow aluminum radiator. The P/S pump lines were replaced as well because we were there and easier to do at the same time. The Original Power steering pump was professionally rebuilt and reinstalled this past January (2017) because of leaking pump seals. New tires and new rear shocks were added in December 2016. The emergency brake vacuum release also works as designed. The Braking system was then rebuilt, including a complete system flush, new Master Cylinder and Brake Vacuum Booster, etc. ![]() In November 2016 the Brake Vacuum Booster failed. Everything under the hood is original or replaced with code correct Ford parts. I have replaced a number of the old gaskets, and seals to stop leaks, etc. The Original 390 FE, 4V, runs strong, smooth, and quiet like it should. Trans works perfectly and I fixed the gear shift linkage / sag issue, which is common to these classic Fords. I had the original transmission professionally rebuilt 3,000 miles ago. This vehicle has never been in a collision or had any other negative VIN entries placed against it. The report confirms what I've stated here. Current VIN - Title / Registration Report is available. Clean title - No negative VIN - Title / Registration report entries. Original - Code Correct - Thunderbird Coupe 2-door Hardtop. She looks even prettier than in the pictures ) If you have, then you'll be enamored with the compliments and looks that come with her classic car styling! Either way, you should text or email me, and I can show you Florence in person. If you've never owned a convertible, then you don't know what you're missing and you should probably come test drive her. She also comes with a removable hardtop in addition to her soft-top that easily transforms her styling as the mood strikes you.Alas, it's been a wonderful two years, but Florence and I need to part as it's time I get back to a manual transmission before they disappear for good. She gets regular baths, details, servicing, and I have taken the liberty of upgrading her radio to be bluetooth compatible so you can take the convertible top down, turn up the music on her fantastic sound system, and bask in the sunshine as you drive down i35 and Mopac. As you can see, I'm quite partial to Florence, so I've taken VERY good care of her. She's a 2002, and has aged beautifully like a fine wine, with only 27k miles to add to her allure. I'm her second owner, and have driven her with the delicacy she so rightly deserves. She's a beautiful little lady that turns heads! From her shiny chrome wheels, to her porthole window flair, to the sound of her V8 engine revving up to take off! Her first owner was a sweet old lady that drove her 1,000 miles a year to the grocery store and back. ![]()
